For many years I had carpeting because I felt it kept your house warmer, in spite of the fact that the floors underneath were beautiful hardwood. I felt I could vacuum and be done with it. Well, about two years ago I needed new carpeting and when I took up the old, the floors were so lovely I felt I could not cover it up again. I had the floors cleaned and varnished and then tried to think what to do. When I thought of area rugs, I thought of those three by fours, and I did not like that look. Then I came upon the 8×6 and they looked fantastic, but, would the floors get all dirty and have to be dry mopped every day. Do you buy the same kind or get different ones. The man at the rug store must have thought I was from Mars, but when he showed me how they would under my furniture, I could not believe how nice they looked. I have had area rugs for some time now and I would never go back to carpeting again. They are much easier to keep clean and they look terrific.
