The bride was so beautiful that you couldn’t take your eyes off of her, and she was the center of an unforgettable ceremony.
Flowers and hearts abounded at the reception dinner. All the centerpieces were bouquets of gorgeous red and white roses, with little hearts sticking out of each one, and they had little silver hearts wedding place card holders at each table setting. The table settings glittered with glasses for wine and champagne. The bride arranged the tables beautifully. There were customized wine glasses with the date of the wedding and the names of the couple, along with crystal champagne flutes. The champagne glasses on bride and groom table were really something special. They were double hearts wedding flutes, with the two silver hearts linked together, just like on the hearts wedding invitation they sent me.
The hearts wedding cake they had made had five layers and it was delicious. It really was quite delicious and really gorgeous. They had a personalized wedding cake topper that was a spitting image of the two of them; come to think of it, this may have been the only item in the whole wedding that wasn’t a heart. That cake topper was one of a kind, and it was the first time I’ve ever seen something like that. She found it online at the same place she got the rest of the items she needed for her ceremony and reception. They apparently do customizing on wedding toppers, and all she had to do was send in photos of her and her fiance and they made the special cake topper couple. Something like this has to be a really super wedding keepsake.
It turned out to be a beautiful wedding heart. One gift was an adorable votive candle holder, and the other was a package of coffee, decorated differently for the ladies versus the men, that came with a heart-shaped utensil to scoop the coffee with. It struck me as a neat pair of gifts to give everyone. Come to think of it, their entire wedding day was filled with sharp ideas they had. The whole hearts genre matched Valentine’s Day, but I was still surprised at how many supplies and wedding items she found to fit that theme. I really thought the wedding cake topper was the most awesome of all. That could work great on a birthday cake or maybe even a graduation cake, not just a wedding cake. She told me they have supplies and decorations for many events, and promised to show me where she shopped. They couldn’t have put it together any better, and all of the people who went had a smashing time there. The week they’re spending in Mexico is going even better for them than the wedding did, I’m sure. I’m looking forward to hearing all about it, and checking out the photos when they get back. The pictures she showed me on the brochures were fantastic.

Kids need bathtub toys, and Sesame Street’s Ernie even sang a song about one of the classics, a tune called ‘Rubber Duckie You’re the One.’ I wasn’t really sure about this theme at first until I checked out all the cute little accessories and all the possibilities of having baby shower duck favors. I got so many great ideas over the net, and finding adorable little accessories and supplies to go with a duck baby shower was easier than I had expected. You can can a ton of different duck favors online, not just for showers but for birthday parties for younger kids as well.
I was holding the shower in my rec room in the basement so I had plenty of room to set up indivdual tables to seat four guests at each. I put baby shower gifts in one corner, and then at the opposite end of the den was a table with appetizers, drinks, deserts, and a layered cake in the form of a rubber ducky and the words baby girl written on it. Each had a poster or two of Mickey Mouse or one of his friends; the ones of Daffy Duck and Daisy Duck were enormous.

There were duck favor candles at each table too and on the buffet table were paper plates, cups and napkins all with little baby ducks on them and even the punch bowl was unique. I also bought duck molds and filled them with yellow colored water for duck shaped ice cubes. Believe me, it was the most ducks you’ve ever seen in one place at one time.

There were also little cowboy hats at each place setting and cowboy boot glasses for the refreshments. They had a little magnificent hearts wedding cake with five layers of heavenly confection. The cake was a dream for both the eyes and the stomach. The cake topper she chose, believe it or not, wasn’t a heart, but, figurines that looked exactly like the bride and groom. That cake topper was one of a kind, and it was the first time I’ve ever seen something like that. She found it online at the same place she got the rest of the items she needed for her ceremony and reception. She took some pictures of her groom and herself, and from that, they put together a cake topper that could have been their twins. I’m sure they’ll treasure that forever.
We had the best hearts wedding, in fact they gave us two thank you gifts. We got coffee in a bride or groom styled package, along with a heart shaped coffee scooper, and then we also got very pretty votive candle holders. A very original idea for them to think of, I felt. Actually they had a lot of cute ideas for the ceremony and reception. I know hearts are the a perfect choice for a Valentines Day wedding, but I was impressed with all the gorgeous decorations and accessories she found for everything. She informed me that they had products for any kind of gathering you might be throwing, and she agreed to show me the website. Well, anyway, the wedding ceremony and the reception were a definite success and everyone had a wonderful time. We bought a flower girl tee shirt and a ring bearer tee shirt for the adorable kids in the wedding. Our wedding party and all our guests seemed to like the wedding favors we bought them.
I also bought a few extras for myself, like a sharp little western themed guestbook and pen, picture album and I even ordered a cowboy hat for me and my husband that said bride and groom on them. All in all, this country western themed wedding was really more than I had hoped for, it was spectacular and we all had such a great time.
